The combat system is a mixture between real-time and strategy. Combat is free moving and allows the player to move around while fighting with the acceptation of casting skills where the player has to be stationary to cast and in some cases Channel the skill, if the player moves the skill is interrupted. (if channelling the skill will stop and go on to Cool down) Spells and Magic are real-time, which means you can for example shoot an arrow at an enemy and then attempt to kite them.
